Phase 2- Day 30

Image
Its our 30th day of school internship. Organisations offer internships to provide the necessary training and work experience to students who have completed their academic journey or wish to pursue higher education after gaining some hands-on experience.

Phase 2- Day 29

I had class at 8 G1. I also completed 30 lesson plans. So, I do revision for them. Revision  helps in focusing on weaker subjects.  It also allows students to focus on each topic in depth beforehand, thus making one thorough with each concept. Revising can help pinpoint which subject needs more focus, this means there is more room for a student to improve on the subjects that he/she is weak at. Afternoon there is a poster making competition for Upper Primary Students.

And also, our General teacher Dr. Ancy teacher came to observe my class. Today I took my 30th lesson plan. I could completed it very successfully. In forth period I reached my 8G1 and I taught them a very different way. I used CONCEPT ATTAINMENT MODEL to taught the concept- REGULAR POLYGONS. The Concept Attainment Model is based on the research efforts of Jerome Bruner. This model is designed to lead students to a concept by asking them to compare and contrast examples that contain the characteristics or attributes of the concepts with examples that do not contain these attributes. I felt happy to see the comments that gave my teacher after observed my class. I could improve my class much better than earlier. My main negative is my medium of instruction. 8 G1 is an english medium class. But, I sometimes used Malayalam as my medium pf instruction. I mus

When you think back on your own education, there’s probably a teacher who stands out as an exceptional source of encouragement and inspiration. Maybe it was a college professor who inspired you to change your career field — or, maybe it was a kindergarten teacher whose simple acts of kindness made a positive difference in your childhood. But no matter what grade you were in or what subject you were studying, I had second period class at 8 G1. First, I checked their assignment that I gave last day. After that I asked them questions to check their previous knowledge. Then, I taught them a new topic OUTER ANGLES. I used many models, Activity cards, Activity Charts Etc to make the class more interactive. I could completed my 29th lesson plan successfully🩷

The simplest polygons are triangles (three sides), quadrilaterals (four sides), and pentagons (five sides). If none of the sides, when extended, intersects the polygon, it is a convex polygon; otherwise it is concave. A polygon with all sides equal is equilateral. One with all interior angles equal is equiangular. Any polygon that is both equilateral and equiangular is a regular polygon (e.g., an equilateral triangle or a square). Also I aaked them to give real life examples of polygons. They answered me Table t

Activity oriented method is one of the very easy and powerful method for taught high school students. Because, The information processing theory in psychology views learners as active investigators of their environment. This theory is grounded in the premise that people innately strive to make sense of the world around them. In the process of learning, they experience, memorize and understand. Students need to be provided with data and materials necessary to focus their thinking and interaction in the lesson for the process of analyzing the information. Teachers need to be actively involved in directing and guiding the students’ analysis of the information.
